Since 1992, The Baltimore Reads Book Bank has been

providing new and gently-used books via our Book Bank van

throughout the Baltimore region.

Books are donated during our annual Books For Kids Day

book drive, and all year round at the Book Bank. After sorting,

they are distributed free of charge to local schools,

Head Start programs, health clinics, shelters and families.

Baltimore Reads Book Bank has provided over 1.3 million books

to Baltimore area teachers and disadvantaged families.

Books can be dropped off and picked up at our Book Bank,

located in the Baltimore Sun complex at 501 North Calvert Street

in Baltimore.

[Click here for directions and a map of the complex]

The Book Bank is open Wednesdays & Thursdays from

3pm - 6pm and Saturdays from 9am- 12pm.

No appointment necessary.

The Book Exchange

Join us Sunday mornings at the Baltimore Farmer’s Market -

Saratoga Street between Holiday and Gay Streets

(under JFX Viaduct) - from 8 a.m. to noon.

Your purchase of books written for adults helps us provide

children throughout Baltimore City with free books of their own.

Watch for exciting news of the Book Exchange’s On-Line Book Sales!
